Frequently Asked Questions

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Because with each appointment the bride reserves a bridal suite for herself,  we do recommend appointments to ensure that we don’t miss the opportunity to meet you because we are helping another bride! Saturday’s are our busiest days and book quickly so it’s best to plan ahead and allow yourself plenty of time for your must have date!

What should my dress budget be?

At Tiffinie Bleu, we know that buying a dress for the first time can be overwhelming and confusing! With everything being thrown at you on social media, its hard to know what to expect when it comes to what you should set for a realistic budget! Some brides have a set budget and cannot go above it and other brides just aren't sure what the type of dress they want cost! This is to help you navigate choosing a realistic budget! Of course there exceptions to every rule but this is a great general guide! When you are filling out your appointment form, we ask your budget to be respectful of it when pulling gowns from our selection! No one wants to fall in love with a gown above their budget! During your appointment, we will ask you to show us the styles you love, that you have pinned or saved on instagram, then we will pull ALL off the gowns that meet your criteria as well as fall into your budget range-not just the gowns at the top of your budget! Of course we will always try to find the perfect dress at the best price so it’s important that you choose the budget range that you do not want to exceed vs choosing a budget that isn’t realistic to your wants!

WHAT designers do you carry and what IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR GOWNS?

The designers we carry are Stella York, Essense of Australia, Martina Liana, Studio Levana and our private collection MOONRIVER with prices ranging from approximately $1,600 to $6,000.  Our sample sale dresses can range from $1000-$1500 and are our sample dresses that have been discounted over 50%. For example, a $1500 sale dress was at one time a $3000+ reorder dress! Sizes, styles, and colors are limited and you can bring these lovelies home with you today! If you have specific questions about a certain designers price range, please contact the boutique!

HOW LONG ARE APPOINTMENT TIMES?

We allot an hour and a half for appointments.  It’s very important that you and your party arrive a few minutes prior to your appointment so we can get started on focusing on you-the VIB-very important bride! Upon arriving at the boutique, you will be greeted and seated in the lounge area for a meet and greet while enjoying refreshments! We want to get to know you and hear all about your vision! Plus it helps get you a little more comfortable when getting down to your skivvies with a couple of strangers! Then you and your party are escorted to your private VIB suite!

CAN I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

Absolutely! But if you do, you will be missing out on one amazing dress shopping experience! Just ask any of our brides! Because so much work and preparation goes into your appointment from the champagne to custom cookies by local baker Aimee Johnson, we ask that you contact us to cancel within 48 hours of your appointment. We require a credit card on file to reserve an appointment to prevent no-shows. Your information is never stored past your appointment date and is never shared. Your card will not be charged if you keep your appointment or you cancel/reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment time. If you are a no-show your credit card will be charged a no-show fee of $45. Before saying yes to the dress anywhere else, make sure you give yourself the chance to say “I do” with Tiffinie Bleu!

CAN I BRING A LARGE PARTY TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Squad goals! While we love a good bridal entourage, let’s be honest-wrangling a group of girls together at the same time can be harder than finding the perfect shade of foundation! As part of our complimentary VIB package of champagne and custom cookies, we recommend that you limit your party to five or less during your visit at Tiffinie Bleu. Having to wait on a large bridal party to arrive before getting started on the appointment cuts into your time as the bride! It’s your day-you deserve the attention! Not to mention, we are an intimate boutique with limited space and seating and have found that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for you!  You will thank us later! Afraid you will upset people by not inviting them? We recommend bringing them to your appointment to pick up your gown so they get to see your choice without you being all clipped into it!

WHEN SHOULD I ORDER MY WEDDING DRESS?

Dresses can take up to four to six months to produce, since it is being made to order.  When you factor in shipping and alterations, it could be a six to eight month total process.  We suggest deciding on a dress six to nine months prior to your wedding date, so you have time built in for fittings and accessorizing.  There are options for weddings under six months, but rush fees can apply.  Why spend the extra money on rush fees that you could be spending on fun things like Starbucks and mani/pedi’s?! Need a dress fast? Contact the boutique about off the rack options!

I’ve purchased a dress, now what? when will it come in, what happens next?

When you purchase your dress at Tiffinie Bleu, your stylist will let you know your estimated ship date and give you a Bridal Guide with your estimated ship date. The Bride Guide is a good reference to find out what comes next! The ship date is subject to change and directly from the designer based on their production. After we receive your gown and it goes through our “Check In” process, we will contact you the bride via text message to the number we have on file! If your number changes, be sure to let us know!

WHAT IS A TRUNK SHOW?

Tiffinie Bleu carries an edited selection of each designer’s collection, but trunk shows are a designated time that Tiffinie Bleu will have an extended selection of a particular designer.  The trunk shows only last a couple of days, and appointments fill up quickly, so we recommend you book early if one of your favorite designers will be visiting Tiffinie Bleu and you want to be able to shop the whole line.  Discounts apply on trunk show merchandise during the trunk show dates only.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Take some time to look through Pinterest and Instagram so you have a general idea of what you prefer in a wedding dress.  Or click below to take the quiz to find out your bridal style personality! This will help us get started in the selection process; although, your stylist may also have some recommendations that you will love. She will be your trusted guide! You will not need a bra as most of our gowns have built in cups as well as cups can be added in alterations so that you don’t risk seeing your undergarments! It is also helpful that you remember to wear proper undergarments-specifically skin tone panties! We appreciate your undi-standing! Don’t worry, if you forget them, we do have nude underwear available for purchase!

DO YOU DO FITTINGS IN YOUR SHOP AND HOW MUCH DO ALTERATIONS COST?

At Tiffinie Bleu we do our best to order the size closest as possible to your measurements on the size chart. With that said, most gowns will need a little tweaking here and there in order for your gown to fit like it was made for you! Typically, once measured, a size is chosen based on the largest measurement out of your bust, waist, and hips! Some of our couture designers offer premium split sizing to accommodate a bride that is a different size on her top versus her bottom! We don’t have any required alterations packages, which means you only pay for what you want or need to have done to make your gown fit like a glove!

We also recommend a tailoring shop Sew Co. two blocks down from our shop in the JB Whites Building!! Standard alterations typically run anywhere from $400 to $900 as with most tailors, depending the experience of the tailor as well as on the changes made to the gown. When adding sleeves or making other significant customizations, final pricing can run slightly higher. You can book an appointment online with Sew Co. here! Leda Gray the lead tailor has been in the industry for 35 years and has a degree in Garment Trades and a Bachelors of Science and Industrial Technology!

DO YOU HAVE PLUS SIZE SAMPLES?

While we hate the term “plus size,” because it singles out brides, our designers do design gowns that are plus size called EBEB-Every Body Every Bride!   Your wedding dress should be as unique and special as your magical wedding day. From classic lace wedding gowns to sexy backless bridal gowns, our figure-flattering gown collection was designed for every bride – from sizes 2-34/36. Our plus-size gowns feature straight-from-the-runway trends and offer plenty of appeal for the classic or modest bride. Exquisite details and curve-hugging silhouettes make our plus-size wedding dresses a dream, no matter your size! We pride ourselves in doing our best to accommodate as many beautiful body types as possible with our sample dresses.  For this reason, the majority of our samples are sizes 12-16; however, we do have a selection of sample gowns size 18-28.

We also carry Studio Levana! Each Studio Levana gown can be made with a hidden built-in magic corset (the best a kept secret of their curvy lines!), allowing you to forget about finding the right spanx and bra while still being perfectly smooth and supported with any neckline and fitted skirt.

We use clips and modesty panels for dresses that are on the small side and clips for dresses that are too big, in order to give you the best possible idea of what our dresses will fit like when they are tailored to you.  We absolutely understand that this is a major shopping experience and it isn’t enjoyable for anyone if we don’t carry what you are looking for!  If you have specific questions or if you would like to speak to someone directly about your size concerns and learn more about what we have just for you, please call or contact the boutique!

WHY DO YOU NEED MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO RESERVE AN APPOINTMENT?

We require a credit card on file to reserve an appointment to prevent no-shows. Your card will not be charged if you keep your appointment or you cancel/reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment time. If you are a no-show your credit card will be charged a no-show fee of $45. If you are ready to be a Tiffinie Bleu Bride book your appointment below!

NO SHOWS AND CANCELLATIONS LESS THAN 48 HOURS

Our private appointments are the backbone of the Tiffinie Bleu experience and our stylists truly love helping you navigate through the tough and confusing waters of the wedding world! When you no show or cancel less than 48 hours of your appointment, it not only hurts our stylist, it hurts our brides that needed your time slot as well! . Of course we understand things happen but would love the opportunity to do as best we can to help all of our brides! Saturdays are our most requested day! If you are unsure or feel you are not ready to commit to a full on bridal appointment, we have created a special Shape Finder appointment for those brides that feel confused and have no idea what they like but just want to browse and see her options! Like all of our appointments, Shape Finder is a low pressure appointment and is designed to make your Bridal Appointment less stressful! For this reason, they are weekday only appointments and last approximately an hour! We will go everything prior to your appointment to make things smooth if you are on a time crunch or lunch break!

DON’T BE AFRAID TO SAY “i Do” in tiffinie bleu on your first visit!

Sometimes we hear brides say, “I didn’t expect to find my dress today” so I didn’t bring my mom. Prepare to expect the unexpected! While unexpected, it is totally normal to THE gown at your first bridal appointment with Tiffinie Bleu! In fact, 90% of our brides find their dress on their first visit! The moment of celebration and taking a photo with our famous I said "I Do" at Tiffinie Bleu sign is truly unforgettable! Of course, it’s a big decision, but if you’ve come into the store knowing your budget, knowing what you like (and don’t like), while having your close knit group with you and you find a dress that you love—go with it! TV shows and movies often play up that brides put on dress after dress to find “the one.” But trying on a ton of gowns at a ton of shops usually only complicates and exhausts the decision-making process.
